The dram that takes you back in time before Hogsheads we have what are now called quarter casks
The small cask allows a maturity that would take several more years in a larger cask plus bottled at 48% to give you a from the bottle to the palate experience.
You can add a drop or two of water this will pull out a more coastal note along with the peat and smoke.
The aromas are really good, very old school with polished oak, leather and seaweed, seasame seed snaps.
A sweetness comes across the palate with some dried fruits, hints of seaweed.
