CAMERONBRIDGE 1989 29 years old 57.8% VOL – 70CL – SMALL BATCH SINGLE GRAIN
NOSE: Rich and spicy, cocoa powder, crystalised ginger, kiwi along with raspberries and very ripe plums
PALATE: Thick and chewy with rye like spices. Hints of oak with honey butter, coconut flakes, green grapes and cardamon pods.
FINISH: Lemon butter, oak aged chardonnay and traditional thick custard with faint stewed rhubarb in the background.
Wow another fresh bourbon cask matured that almost tastes like a sherry cask malt! This will be going into the tasting room for sure.
(LTP) Blind tasting
Nose: Almost honey and sherry like notes with carmel wafer, berries and chcolate.
Palate: Really nice lots of fruity tones that have a warming effect across the palate, a little dry sherry like notes and warm baked bread
Finish: Lingering sweet and very clean to the front of the finish then some citrus and cream.
This is a great dram, while it was a blind tasting people found it hard to place as a grain until the very end.
