A very rich and complex Irish Whiskey distilled 2006 Aged for 12 Years.
Creamy balance of ripe peach and grape, some soft creamy scone like richness bursts through as the dram opens in the glass.
Honey and spices add a sweet warming sensation to the mid palate and again as we head into the finish of this superb dram.
A nice slow sipping whiskey from Ireland.
Some warm spices sweet smoke very very complex deep leathery notes on the back of the mid palate. If you missed the Cooley 1992 11 Year old then this is for you!!
NOSE: Smoke and sweet leather. As you rest this dram a fruity note overtakes the nose.
PALATE: Orange with some pineapple peach and grapes with a soft sweet smoke leather and pine.
FINISH: Lingering long finish with a little sweet smoke and salted caramel. This will linger for several minutes after the dram is finished on the tongue.
One of the most unusual Irish whiskies we have tried, on a blind tasting some thought it was double distilled Scottish rather than Irish.
We have had this poured into the glass for a few hours now to keep going back to it time and time again, its still as complex as it was at 3PM right to 7PM (Tasting Panel 14/3/19)
