As we are slowly coming out of lockdown, we have looked into the situation concerning whisky tasting events at the shop, we are working on just how the whisky tasting events will work with the amount of space we have in the tasting room. We are airing more on the cautious side of the coronavirus and the measures that we will need to implicate before we can commence whisky tasting events.
We are looking at the minimum and maximum numbers of people to make it work for both the customer and shop, we are considering the seating arrangements in the tasting room, personal canopies rather than shared. How best to keep the participants and the member of staff safe at all times.
We are working at present with reduced staff, we only reopened some three weeks ago, it’s been very busy welcoming customers back into the shop. The backlog of customers who have waited over a year to pick up their orders, coupled with and the various Cadenhead’s and Springbank releases over the last month has made it difficult to set the whisky tasting events in motion.
That said, it is important to resume whisky tasting events so we will have news concerning these events by mid-July. We are working to commence whisky tasting at the beginning of September to mid-September all being well, please email whisky@whiskytastingroom.com to receive an email concerning the commencement of whisky tasting events, we will add your email address to the list of customers who have enquired about whisky tasting events, as soon as we know when we will commence taking bookings we will send you an email.
Please be aware that we understand that inside seating in restaurants and bars has commenced with certain safeguards in place. But not everybody’s situation is the same as we all have to come to terms with the past year and the losses and changes that have taken place. Remembering to allow individuals the time it needs to get back on track and look to the future without fear and pressure to move forward quickly.
All whisky tasting vouchers will be honoured and have been extended, we have had enquiries to change the whisky tasting vouchers into gift vouchers this is not possible as whiskey tasting vouchers when purchased are inclusive of VAT were as gift vouchers when purchased have Zero VAT.
